Gift Guide for Home

Only 5 days left until the first night of Chanukah and Christmas Eve! Wasn’t it just Thanksgiving a minute ago? My how time flies!

Thankfully, I have done most of my shopping already. Only a few small things left to pick up before the weekend.

Today, I wanted to share a few gift ideas for the home. I love that gifts for the home are gifts for everyone who lives there. This year, my favorite gifts for the home include a cookbook, a candle, photos and more!

I am always on the lookout for new kitchen inspiration. Sometimes inspiration comes in the form of a cookbook. When I heard about Breaking Breads, I immediately rushed over to Amazon and clicked the pre-order button! When it FINALLY arrived in the mail, I was so excited! I couldn’t wait to try some new challah recipes and to make babka for the first time. While I haven’t yet made the babka (I am waiting on a lesson from the Babka queen), I have tried many of the challah recipes and they are AMAZING. This cookbook would be the perfect gift for a lover of bread and/or baking.

If you are looking for a more personalized gift, you can always order a photo set and stand. Every year, I try to order a few of my favorite photos from the previous twelve months. They are fun to scatter around the house, either on the fridge or in frames, or to give to family! A nice alternative display to a frame is a photo stand. I really love this cork and brass stand. It has such a simple yet functional design.

Another great gift would be a holiday scented candle. I don’t know about you, but I am a scented candle hoarder. In fact, an entire shelf in our linen cabinet is filled with scented candles. A few weekends ago, I was wandering around Target and I stumbled upon the candle aisle (DANGER!). I limited myself to one candle. This Cranberry Fig scent was too hard to resist!

Last, but certainly not least, there are two beverages that hold a special place in my heart…tea and wine. If you are looking to gift someone tea, I suggest going with something a little different. These tea crystals are SO COOL! I am amazed by how they can pack all of that flavor into little itty bitty crystals. If you are looking to gift wine, I suggest going with a wine and snack subscription box like the Wine Down Box. Not only does the recipient get a new special bottle of wine each month, but they also get fancy cheese, crackers and meat!

Let the final countdown begin! Happy shopping!
