On the Gapstow Bridge in Central Park with Pops
Father’s Day is rapidly approaching (Sunday, June 19th)! There are only eleven days left to find that special gift for your Dad, Daddy, Pops, or Abba! I always have a hard time finding something for my Father. I have been brainstorming over the last few days and these are the ideas I have come up with!
Cuff Links – I find that cuff links are a nice functional gift that can also be personal and thoughtful. They are no longer just another accessory. Cuff links come in a variety of different colors, designs, patterns and with many different logos. The ones currently on my list for my Father are these Custom Map Cuff Links, Scrabble Cuff Links from Etsy, and MLB Cuff Links or Star Wars Cuff Links from Cufflinks.com. Use the code DAPPERDAD for 15% off on Cufflinks.com!
Watch – I have recently fallen in love with Freedom to Exist watches. They successfully launched and funded a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for their new 40 Edition watch. It has a larger face than the 30 Edition and comes in a variety of colors. I want the Gun Metal and Black one for myself! What’s For Dinner Esq. readers get 30% off with the code WHATSFORDINNER30!
Sunglasses – Everyone needs a great pair of sunglasses for summer. We don’t want those harmful rays causing damage to our eyes. Why not a buy a pair for your father? They have a great selection of Men’s Sunglasses at Warby Parker right now. My personal favorites are the Madison, Haskell and Downing.
Wine Club Membership – Ever since visiting Napa last month (See: HERE and HERE) I have been OBSESSED with California and Napa wines. The California Wine Club gives you the opportunity to try wines from all over California right at your own home! Start your California wine adventure and save 50% off your first 3 months!
Sock Panda – A monthly sock subscription is the gift that keeps on giving! Sock Panda’s designs are so funky and fresh! Sock Panda also has a charitable component. For every new sock subscription (and renewal), Sock Panda donates a pair of socks to those in need! A way to make Dad feel special and help those less fortunate. I call that a win-win. Use the code DAD for 10% off!
A Good Book – There is nothing better then relaxing in bed on a Saturday afternoon with a good book. My Father and I are avid readers and big fans of John Grisham. Mr. Grisham just came out the a new book called the Rogue Lawyer. If my he hasn’t read it already, this would be the perfect gift!
Volleyball – My Father plays volleyball every Sunday at Venice beach with his friends. It might be nice to buy him a new Wilson Volleyball!
Vinyl – Growing up my Father had an extensive collection of vinyl records. We grew up listening to them. Some of his favorites included Tea for the Tillerman, The Beatles Abbey Road, Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. The list goes on and on. As a result, I am a vinyl aficionado! It would be nice to buy my Father a record of a newer band or one of his all time favorites that he just hasn’t been able to track down.
Framebridge – Framed photos always make the perfect gift. I love using Framebridge because they have a variety of frames to choose from, free shipping on all orders, the customer service is fantastic and they are very reasonably priced. And right now they are even more affordable! Use the code DAD10 for $10 off (valid through June 12, 2016). In order to guarantee delivery in time for Father’s Day you MUST place your order before midnight on June 12, 2016.
Coasters – Watching sports on TV and drinking a beer. But where does that beer go? Not directly onto the coffee table… Your Father definitely needs a coaster for that beer! I love these NFL Football Coasters. They are made from NFL football leather. How cool is that??
I hope my research has been helpful. Good luck finding the perfect gift for your Father!
