I was first introduced to Bang Cookies at one of the NJ Baby Expos that I attended. There was one in the gift bag and I basically inhaled it as soon as I opened it. FULL DISCLOSURE: E and I are actually eating a Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk cookie as I am typing up this post. Thankfully, the cookies are HUGE so I don’t mind sharing with him!
So, when I saw the Bang Cookies booth at the NJ Baby Expo this past Sunday in Hoboken, I knew it was FINALLY time to stop by their store in Jersey City. I had been wanting to visit for a while and it was only a short 11 minute drive from the W Hotel in Hoboken. E and Nathan joined me at the Baby Expo and (thankfully) they were both more than happy to join me for post Expo cookies! Besides, when a pregnant woman says she wants cookies, who are you to turn her down?!
We parked around the block from the shop and walked. It was a BEAUTIFUL fall day in New Jersey on Sunday. We don’t get many of those here, so I am writing this one down so I can appreciate it for a little while longer. The shop has the most adorable little storefront. I love their logo and their lighted sign inside. While the sign is a little suggestive, it is VERY FUNNY. When we first walked in we were smacked in the face with the smell of cookies. It was HEAVEN. We took a look at the menu and decided to order two cookies to go. E and I are both suckers for peanut butter so we decided one of our selections HAD to be the PB&J stuffed cookie. Once E saw the S’mores cookie I knew that was going to be our second one. He LOVES anything with marshmallows. Nathan just wanted ALL OF THE COOKIES. He kept grabbing all of the display ones. Who could blame him?!
Both cookies BARELY made it home in one piece. E and I couldn’t wait to break into them! We almost finished them on the way home! If you are in the area, looking for a fun and tasty dessert, or you happen to see Bang Cookies out in the wild, you definitely should stop and eat one. They are 100% worth the calories! Not that I am sitting here counting or anything 🙂
