Valentine’s Day Gift Baskets for Kids

We are only a few short weeks away from Valentine’s Day, and I am SO excited to celebrate with the kiddos. To make this Valentine’s Day extra special, I decided to put together little Valentine’s Day gift baskets for them. Who knows? Maybe it will become a new family tradition!

I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, so I purchased the baskets (they were $1 each) and many of the gifts for Nathan’s basket (most of them were $1 or $3) in the Target Dollar Spot. They have so many great little toys and trinkets for Valentine’s Day! I filled Nathan’s basket with stickers, band-aids, furry socks, a paint set, a seed kit (Nathan LOVES to plant seeds and watch them grow), a card, and a Paw Patrol t-shirt. Definitely check out your local Target store to see what they have in stock. The most expensive item in his basket is the Paw Patrol Valentine’s Day t-shirt ($8.99). Nathan recently became OBSESSED with Paw Patrol, so I know he is going to LOVE it!

For Nora’s basket, I spent a little more on the gifts (and, as a result, included fewer of them) because I needed gifts that were age appropriate that didn’t have small pieces. Unfortunately, the Target Dollar Spot didn’t have much for her. So I went searching online instead! I filled Nora’s basket with a flamingo doll, rainbow hair clips, a rubber duck, a wooden elephant, and a new book.

Nora’s hair is FINALLY long enough for clips, so I added these adorable rainbow clips to her basket. I can’t wait for her to wear them! She has also been really into bath toys lately, so I included a new duck for her ever-growing rubber duck collection. These Lanco rubber ducks are great because they don’t have any holes in them – no need to worry about mold! I picked up this elephant from Murray and Finn over the holidays, meaning to gift it to Nora over Chanukah. I completely forgot about it then, so I included it her basket now. I hope to build a little collection of Ostheimer wooden animals for the kiddos. They each already have a few different ones.

In addition to wooden animals, a kid can never have too many stuffed animals, right? I saw this flamingo and immediately knew Nora would love it. It is so soft! She loves to hug stuffed animals and then throw them over her shoulder. So funny and sweet.

The last item I included in her basket is a new Valentine’s Day themed board book, Love Monster. I flipped through it while I was at Target, and it looked like a cute little story. Most of our Valentine’s Day kids books were purchased for Nathan. I wanted Nora to have one of her very own.

Both baskets are packed and ready to go! They are currently hiding in my closet until the big day. Hopefully Nathan doesn’t find himself wandering in there between now and then. I cannot wait to gift these baskets to the kiddos on Valentine’s Day!
