I have been eating at Mama’s Original Pizza & Pasta FOR YEARS! It is FINALLY time to share my love for Mama’s with the WORLD. Well…at least with all of my readers, anyway.
My father actually found Mama’s accidentally one day when he was looking for lunch. The restaurant is sort of a hole in the wall (in the best possible way) located pretty close to his office. When I lived in Los Angeles, I would meet him for lunch there occasionally. They have AMAZING affordable lunch specials! My father thinks it is funny how much I love eating there.
Whenever I am in Los Angeles, I always try to have at least one meal at at Mama’s. A few trips ago I introduced E and the kiddos to Mama’s, and they LOVED it as much as I do. Nathan and Nora are BIG FANS of the pizza and garlic knots. They are carb lovers, like their parents. Now Mama’s is MUST EAT whenever we are in town.
Our favorite lunch specials are the Mama’s Luncheon Pizza Special (a personal pie), the Slice, Salad, and Soda (that’s a whole meal right there), and Ravioli a la Mama. Their pizza has a thin crust that is very soft and chewy. It is so easy to eat! Each lunch special comes with a side salad that is served with the most delicious house dressing. I LIVE for that dressing. I could bathe in it, it is that good!
Whenever we go we also make sure to order their FAMOUS garlic knots. Not the small order either. A big one! I could eat a whole order of them myself. But my mother might kill me for not saving some for her… Our love for their garlic knots runs deep. They are garlicky, soft, cheesy, and warm. Everything you want in a garlic knot. HOLY YUMMO. I am drooling just writing about them. If only I lived closer to Mama’s. I might just eat there every.single.day. I would also be 1000 pounds, but I would be fat and happy!
If you live in Los Angeles, or are just visiting, but looking for a deliciously affordable lunch, then you MUST eat at Mama’s!
