The last few months of the year were BUSY! November flew by between work and our trip to Los Angeles for Thanksgiving. December, on the other hand, crawled. The kids were home for most of the month between post-travel quarantines, an ear infection, and the holidays. It was honestly incredibly stressful. Hence why I haven’t posted in a while. I am excited to share my fave five from November and December 2021!
November
ONE
Family Photos with Lauren
I always look forward to our fall family photos with Lauren. They are always my favorite photos of the year!
TWO
Fall Leaves
PEAK FALL. The leaves were gorgeous!
THREE
Thanksgiving in Los Angeles
We were unable to travel to Los Angeles in 2020 due to COVID. This year, I was determined to make it happen. Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday of the year. And it was AMAZING! It was so nice to be home with my family and to cook Thanksgiving dinner with my mom and my siblings. We made it to all of my favorite restaurants (In N’ Out, Clementine, Sugarfish), to the beach, a few museums, the park, and more! I also finally made it to Merci Milo – one of my favorite kids toy shops! It was a busy 10 days!
FOUR
Uncle Cub launched his zero sugar, plant based chocolate brand, Nebula Snacks, just after Thanksgiving! It is soooo good! They launched with a Dark Chocolate Bar and an Oat Milk Chocolate Bar. Use code WHATSFORDINNERESQ for 15% off your order!
FIVE
Sushi with Aron and David at Sugarfish
On the Saturday night after Thanksgiving, my brothers and I went out for sushi at Sugarfish in Beverly Hills. The food and the drinks were delicious and we had so much fun together! The fish just melted in my mouth. They have a NYC location too – I cannot wait to go!
December
ONE
Chanukah in Los Angeles
I very rarely get to spend Chanukah in Los Angeles with my family. Chanukah started just after Thanksgiving this year, so I extended our trip so we could spend the first three days together. We lit candles, ate Krispy Kreme and Mensche Bakery jelly donuts and latkes with homemade applesauce, played dreidel, and opened a few gifts. It was PERFECT!
TWO
Uncle Cub Visits
My brother, David, aka Uncle Cub, flew into New Jersey for a quick trip to run a half marathon in New York City. We always love having him here! It doesn’t hurt that whenever he is in town, he cooks up some amazing dishes for dinner!
THREE
A Visit to Wobbly World at the Liberty Science Center
We were lucky enough to be invited to the grand opening of Wobbly World at the Liberty Science Center. Wobbly World is a new exhibit for kids ages 0-5 that allows them to explore balance, motion, and more. The kids had the BEST time! We will definitely visit again soon!
FOUR
E and I had been wanting a king size bed for a long time but couldn’t really justify the upgrade. Over the last year and a half, though, as we have spent more and more time at home, the upgrade felt necessary. I had my eye on this bed from Rejuvenation for YEARS. I was so excited to finally order it! It is so much more comfortable when the kiddos jump into our bed on the weekends! It is so spacious! I am in the process of redecorating our entire bedroom. We are getting new bedside tables, a new rug, new art, and new sconces. So excited to see the transformation! Don’t worry, once it is finished I will put together a blog post.
FIVE
New Years Eve at Home
We celebrated New Years Eve at home with pajamas, party hats, fun necklaces, Trader Joe’s appetizers, sparkling grape juice, and an early Netflix NYE Countdown. It was glorious! After the kiddos went to sleep (at 8PM), E and I stayed up and watched the ball drop. We gave each other a kiss and then immediately went to sleep. Here’s hoping that 2022 is the year the COVID finally becomes endemic and the kiddos can be vaccinated!
