Urban Light and Palm Trees

And for my grand Los Angeles trip finale, here is my walk through the Urban Light exhibit at LACMA! It is a free and fun outdoor exhibit right on Wilshire Boulevard. I was surprised by how crowded it was on a Monday afternoon but, with schools out for spring break, parents and children were running around and there were several people who worked in the office buildings surrounding the museum just wandering and eating their lunch. It was a beautiful day to be outside! As most days in LA are!

When I wasn’t wearing light summer dresses, I was LIVING in these destroyed jeans. When I first went shopping for maternity jeans, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find any cute and fashionable jeans for an affordable price. Designer maternity jeans are PRICEY! So, when I found these for under $100, I was so excited! They are pretty lightweight and they have a comfortable over the bump waistband that provides just the right amount of coverage.

For my trip to the museum, I paired the jeans with a classic black tee and my new summer splurge, these cute palm tree mules! I bought the mules just before we left for LA and was so excited to wear them in the land of perpetual sunshine and palm tress. A little cliche, I know. To complete the outfit, I added my favorite new sunglasses and my new Coach tote. While the olive green color of the tote didn’t match my mules perfectly, I loved mixing the different shades of green.

I have worn variations of this exact outfit several times since landing back in New Jersey. It has become my off duty uniform and I love it!
