This year, one of my New Year’s resolutions was to do more pleasure reading. I am happy to report that it is going better then I expected!
As a transactional lawyer, I read contracts and leases ALL DAY LONG. Over the last couple of years I have had trouble getting motivated to read at home. It was so much easier to plop myself on the couch and watch TV. While I still do that some nights, it has been nice to curl up on the couch or in bed and read a book (on nights when I am not writing tomorrow’s blog post).
I found out about Book of the Month from Grace over at The Stripe and she inspired me to try it. I reached out to them to see if they might want to partner here on the blog and they loved the idea! Book of the Month sent along three books including, The Last Equation of Isaac Severy, Other People’s Houses, and Not That I Could Tell. I have started The Last Equation of Isaac Severy and it is such a fun and interesting read! I love mysteries and stories of family dysfunction (one of my favorite books is This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper). I hope to be done with it this weekend. I can’t wait to start Other People’s Houses!
I am hoping to start a monthly blog series about the books I am reading. Would you guys like that? Leave a comment if you would!
And on a VERY EXCITING NOTE, I’m partnering with Book of the Month for a giveaway for FIVE winners to receive free 3-month subscriptions! Head over to my Instagram to enter!
Thank you Book of the Month for partnering on this post.
This is such a great idea! I’m spend so much time scouring Amazon for books, this look much easier and so convenient!

I needed to read this post! I used to read every night before bed, and as life got so busy I put it on the back burner. I love picking up my books on Amazon. Tonight I will be reading… Xo, Nelli
I love this! This is such an awesome idea, especially when I feel like I can’t make it over to the library and find a book- this looks so awesome!

I’m such a bookworm and this is an excellent way to discover new reads! I received a box from them forever ago and then completely forgot to get another one! I’ll have to jump on that soon!
I’ve been wanting to sign up for BOTM club! I think its such a great idea!

I’ve been so interested in trying Book of the Month Club! I am also trying to read more consistently and I feel like this would be such a good motivator! I can’t wait to enter!

What a cool subscription box. I need to make more time to read. xo ~ Megan
I would love to subscribe to this if I was such a fast reader. My cousin, on the other hand, would love to join this.
I’m definitely a reader too! I will have to check this out!
