Our Mid Century Modern Micuna OVO City High Chair

When we initially registered before Nathan arrived, I had REALLY hard time picking a high chair. There were so many options and I was overwhelmed. So many of them were made of plastic and really didn’t fit with our aesthetic. Ultimately, I decided against registering for one, and pushed the decision off until after Nathan was born.

When it was FINALLY time for Nathan to start eating solids, we opted to start with an Ikea high chair until we found a more permanent solution. While scrolling through Instagram one day, Mary of Honey Wild, one of my fave mommy bloggers, posted a picture of her adorable daughter sitting in a Micuna OVO High Chair. I instantly fell in love! I was OBSESSED with the wood, its mid century modern construction, (after some light internet research) Micuna’s dedication to handmade furniture and conscious design, and the fact that the OVO converts into a toddler chair.

Most of our dining room furniture is made of a darker wood, so I decided to take the plunge and order the Micuna OVO City High Chair instead of the OVO, because it is made of a mahogany beechwood and paired with black ABS and PE plastic. The high chair arrived within a week of ordering it. I was so excited! It came in the coolest round box. E’s amazing (and very handy) aunt helped us put it together, and we have been using it ever since!

I also love that the eating tray is off to the side and is smaller then your typical tray. There is less surface area to clean after a meal!

I wish I had known about Micuna sooner! I am swooning over their Life Crib. I will definitely be keeping it in the back of my mind for when we decide to expand our family further.
