I had been DREAMING owning of an Anine Bing blazer for over a year. When I want something for that long it means I REALLY want it. So when they went on sale during the Shopbop sale a few months back, I FINALLY took the plunge. Every once in a while, it is ok to TREAT YO SELF! And let me tell you, I am so happy I did!
You wouldn’t think that a plaid blazer would get as much wear as it does, but I wear it with just about everything. I have worn it to work (as seen below), I have worn it on date night, and I have even worn it casually. It is such a great accent piece! I plan on wearing it all year round and for years to come. I ordered my regular size, a size Small, and it fits perfectly. While definitely an investment, I know that this blazer will NEVER go out of style!
A few weeks ago, I layered my new blazer over my new sweatshirt dress. Yes, you heard me correctly…a dress made out of sweatshirt material. OH LORD IS IT COZY! It is not maternity, so I bought it one size larger then I normally would to accommodate the bump. Wearing it is like wearing pajamas to the office. There is NOTHING better. Well…except jeans day, of course. This dress is definitely a close second, though.
I finished the look with a pair of booties that I bought on MAJOR SALE a few years back. Anine Bing comes out with very similar booties every year in a variety of different colors and metal combinations. I didn’t have any grey booties at the time, so I bought them. They were, and still are, such a great addition to my wardrobe. When her booties go on sale I HIGHLY recommend picking up a pair. I have linked a few similar options below.
