A few weeks ago, Nora and I drove down to Fair Haven to check out the Sadie James Boutique. I was introduced to the Sadie James Boutique through a friend a little over a year ago. I had been wanting to go down for months but I thought it wise to wait until after Nora was born. That way I would actually be able to try on clothing and not guesstimate my postpartum size!
When I arrived, Nora and I FINALLY met Chelsea, the owner of Sadie James. We had been chatting for a while, so it felt like we already knew each other. She is so sweet! After chatting for a few and taking some pictures of the store, I dove right into shopping! Chelsea has so many amazing pieces for spring and summer right now. I must have picked out half the store to try on. I started with a few pairs of denim. She carries a lot of designer denim brands including Citizens of Humanity, Mother, DL1961, and more. Chelsea was wearing a pair of destroyed denim from a brand called McGuire Denim. I had never heard of them before. Chelsea RAVED about them and insisted that I try on a couple pairs of their jeans. The fit was AMAZING. I ended up buying THREE PAIRS of them. A pair of light denim, regular denim, and white denim (my first pair of white jeans!!!).
In addition to the jeans, I tried on a several tops and light sweaters from a variety of brands, including Skull Cashmere, Brodie Cashmere, Waverly Grey, Velvet, Rebecca Taylor, 360 Cashmere, and more. I fell in love with this bright red floral top from Rebecca Taylor’s La Vie line. It fit perfectly, and I loved the pop of color against the light pair of McGuire jeans. I knew I had to have it!
I couldn’t wait to get my purchases home so that I could style them. My favorite purchases were the La Vie top and the light pair of McGuire jeans, so I decided to pair them together with my camel loafers and my new bright red bag. When the weather is finally a bit warmer, I plan on wearing this entire outfit on jeans day!
I cannot wait to see what Chelsea stocks for summer! I will definitely be checking out her Instagram for sneak peeks!
