A few weeks ago, Nathan turned 2 years old. Cue the big ol’ mom tears. How did he get so big so fast?! MAKE TIME STOP!
To celebrate his birthday, we hosted a little birthday party for him at My Gym in Westfield (they are amazing over there) and invited all of his friends from daycare, camp, and life. He had the BEST time! What could be bad about running around with all of your friends, and then eating pizza and birthday cake? Absolutely nothing. Nathan received so many great gifts as well.
One value we have been trying to instill in Nathan from a very young age is saying “thank you” and being thankful. For this reason, I wanted him to be take part in sending out the thank you cards for all of his gifts. At this age, I obviously didn’t expect him to write them out himself. Ha. I WISH. So that responsibility would have been split by E and I. Instead, I decided to take a little bit of a shortcut and had the bulk of the card pre-printed!
Chatbooks (my FAVORITE photo book company – click HERE for my review) came out with a line of photo cards over the holidays last year. I had already ordered our Chanukah cards, otherwise I would have tried them then. This seemed like the perfect opportunity! I selected one of their pre-made Thank You Card templates, inserted a photo from the party, wrote a message, and clicked ORDER. It was so easy!
I ordered the cards on Monday (the day after the party) and they arrived at my house on Saturday. Talk about fast! On Sunday morning, I had Nathan color each of them as an art project. I told him which card was for which friend. He had such a great time drawing for each of them. When he was done, I filled in the gift information and I was done! All I had to do was address and stamp them.
These Thank You Cards are my favorite mom hack yet! If you are in the market for some cards, you should definitely check out Chatbooks. Click HERE for $10 off your first order!

These thank you cards are SO cute! I love the picture you decided to use.
What a great idea! So important to instill good manners at an early age. And this seems like a fun way to help do that!

I’ve heard of a lot of card companies, but this is a new one to me! Now that I know about it, I’m excited to utilize it to send thank-you cards to brands, friends, and family!
This is such a cute idea! I love the idea of a pre-printed thank you!
Such a great mom hack and I love how easy it is to go through Chatbooks! Love the cards too, so cute!

cute & little
This is a great hack. I love that your son colored on the cards. Have you heard of SendOutCards? It’s a phone app that allows you to put a photo on the front of a card and then it’s printed, stuffed, stamped and MAILED for you. I use it to send photo greeting cards almost every day. Pretty nifty.
I havenโt but they sound amazing! Definitely going to look into them!
That’s such a lovely idea! I love that Nathan customized some of them. Thanks for sharing the discount code!
Oh my goodness this is absolutely genius! Sending to my sister right now to do with my niece!
