I don’t know about you, but I LOVE a good chunky knit sweater this time of year. They are so warm and cozy! I picked up this chunky striped sweater at the Sadie James Boutique a little while back, and I have been LIVING in it ever since. While it is chunky, it isn’t very heavy. Heavy sweaters are not my jam. I would rather wear several lighter layers than one big heavy layer. That way, you can peel off layers until you are comfortable!
I have been styling this sweater with my black denim, black leggings, and/or black work pants. Most often, though, I wear it with my black cropped pants which have quickly become one of my favorite pairs of pants. I like that these pants are slim fit. I have tried several wide leg cropped pants and they don’t look right on me. These fit just right and they don’t make me look short.
To finish the look, I added my black lacquer belt bag and my go-to loafers (a few affordable options are linked below). As a mom of two young children, I NEVER have a free hand. This belt bag is great because it is HANDS FREE. I can throw a few essentials in it (my keys, phone, some cash, and a credit card), put it on, and run out the door! And it looks super cute on too. I love wearing it at my waist or as a crossbody bag.
We are heading to Los Angeles next week for 10 days for Thanksgiving, and I cannot freaking wait! I am planning on wearing this entire outfit to my family’s Thanksgiving feast. Even if the weather isn’t fall, my outfit will be seasonally appropriate. I will most definitely be wearing the belt bag on the plane. I will need both hands free and available!
Sweater weather is what it’s all about for me. I love fall weather and wearing the chunkiest knits instead of jackets. I really like your sweater with that plaid/ window pane pattern.
Those loafers are so cute! I love your nail polish, too.
I love a good, chunky knit sweater, too! Love how you styled it!
