Our Favorite Holiday Gifts for Kids

I am always looking for fun, educational, and useful gifts for my kids. I decided to share a few of Nathan and Nora’s favorite gifts, as well as some of the gifts we plan on giving them this year over Chanukah.

Pinhole Press Photo Books – I first found out about Pinhole Press at a friend’s baby shower FIVE YEARS AGO. I thought their photo books were such a sweet idea that I wrote the name down. Three years later, when I had Nathan, I remembered Pinhole Press and immediately ordered Nathan a Custom Board Book of Names filled with pictures of him with our family members. It is one of his favorite books! I recently ordered him the Baby’s First Year Photo Book using the photos I took of him each month. It is a beautiful keepsake and a nice way to document his growth from the day he was born through his first birthday! If you are looking for a cute, personalized gift for your little, I highly recommend Pinhole Press! The team at Pinhole Press was kind enough to provide a discount code for What’s For Dinner Esq. readers – use code “whatsfordinneresq20” for 20% off SITEWIDE from now through December 7th, 2019.

Anywhere Chair – My in-laws purchased these for my kids when they were born, and I love them. Nathan LOVES to sit in his (and Nora’s) when he watches TV in the morning before daycare.

Basketball Hoop – I honestly don’t know who loves this hoop more, E or Nathan. They shoot hoops EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.

House of Noa Play Mat – We LOVE our Play Mat. I have one in our living room, sun room, and play room. They look like rugs, are easy to wipe clean, and they are made in the USA! Use code “THANKS25” for 25% off from now through December 2nd, 2019!

The Nugget – The Nugget has TRANSFORMED our play room. Nathan loves to jump around from cushion to cushion. He also uses them as his couch. He lounges around on them like a king. I can’t wait for him to start building forts with them!

Candylab Toy Cars and Vans – Candylab makes the BEST cars. When they ran a Kickstarter for their van collection, I couldn’t resist. I ordered the ENTIRE set! I cannot wait to gift them to Nathan for Chanukah!

Melissa and Doug Puzzles – Last year I bought a bunch of these puzzles. Nathan wasn’t into puzzles at the time, so I held off on gifting them to him. This year he is ALL ABOUT puzzles. I know he is going to LOVE this dinosaur one.

Batmobile – The Batmobile is Nathan’s FAVORITE gift he has ever received. He uses it almost every single day. He loves to ride it up and down the hallway. And he can sing the theme song to Batman while riding it. SO FREAKIN CUTE.

Play Kitchen and Play Food – I don’t know who was more excited for Nathan’s play kitchen, me or him. We love to “cook” meals for each other!

Play Shopping Cart – Nathan LOVES to go food shopping! When he isn’t on his Batmobile, he is running up and down the hallway with his shopping cart!

Bow Subscription – I love putting bows in Nora’s hair. She looks so cute in them! Unfortunately, bows are REALLY expensive. Some are $10 or $15 EACH?! How is that even possible. When I found out about this bow subscription, I signed up immediately. It is $13.99 a month, and each month you receive three bows!

Donut Stacking Toy – Nathan received this stacking toy for his first Chanukah. Nathan LOVED this toy. Immediately upon seeing it he would hit all the donuts off the stacker. Nora has just started playing with it, and she loves it as well.

Cuddle + Kind Doll – These dolls are my FAVORITE. They are so soft and cuddly and, when you purchase one, Cuddle + Kind gives ten meals to a child in need. They are handmade in Peru and are fair trade!

Sesame Street Figures – Nathan LOVED these little figures. He used to always put them in his mouth. I am gifting Nora a new set over Chanukah!

Fish Bowl – This is Nora’s favorite toy at the moment. She loves the little fishies, the lights, and the music. You can always find her face planting into the fish bowl. It is hilarious!
