Easy Slow Baked Boneless BBQ Spare Ribs

One of my goals for What’s For Dinner Esq. this year is to share at least ONE recipe a week. As of today, I have 5 new recipes all ready to go live over the next few weeks! Here is to hoping that I can come up with 52 NEW recipes in 2020. Wish me luck!

Today’s recipe is a recent addition to my repertoire. I hosted 20 family members for dinner one night of Rosh Hashanah. Cooking for 20 people DEFINITELY requires detailed menu planning. Everyone offered to bring something, but I wanted to cook the main dishes. I knew I wanted to make a few different proteins.

While shopping on my favorite online kosher supermarket’s website, Seasons Kosher (not sponsored – just LOVE them), I saw boneless beef spare ribs that looked interesting. They were on promotion, so I bought five packages, like one does, while not entirely sure what I was going to do with them. Thankfully, I thought of something a few days before the holiday.

Instead of throwing the ribs into my Crockpot, I decided to bake them, low and slow, with one of my new favorite BBQ sauces from Trader Joe’s. Their Kansas City Style BBQ sauce is AMAZING. I just noticed that it is Kosher certified! I was so excited that I put three bottles in my cart! I am always up for trying something new from Trader Joe’s.

To say that the ribs were a hit would be a MAJOR understatement. EVERY SINGLE RIB WAS GONE! The meat was SO tender, and the sauce was slightly sweet and incredibly addicting. E likens them to potato chips – once you have one, you can’t stop!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to photograph the ribs over the holiday, so I couldn’t post the recipe. Lucky for you, someone requested that I make the ribs again over Chanukah, so I did. This time, I took pictures. They were just as good as I remembered!

**Edited to correct an error regarding the BBQ Sauce. I thought I used the Korean BBQ sauce but Trader Joe’s has discontinued it. Scroll down to see a photo of the actual BBQ sauce used in this recipe. Sorry for the error!
