Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!
About 6 months ago, I sold our Keurig machine. I was the only one using it (E doesn’t drink coffee), and I wasn’t using it that often because we have one at my office and I drink my coffee there most mornings. Well…when we started working from home in mid-March, I REALLY missed my Keurig. Instead of buying another Keurig or a Nespresso (I REALLY WANT ONE), I decided to go cold brew instead. Ha! You thought I was going to say cold turkey. NO WAY. I LOVE Rook cold brew coffee. I was introduced to Rook a few years ago, and have been a fan ever since. We try to pop into one of their cafes when we are down by the Jersey Shore.
A few Sundays ago, we decided to take a drive down the Shore to get the kids out of the house. Our destination: Rook (for me) and Broad Street Dough Co. donuts (for me – but also for E and the kids). I ordered my cold brew mocha coffee online and, when we arrived, one of their employees brought it to our car! It was easy and contactless.
Just as we picked up the coffee, E called in an order to Broad Street. We ordered 6 donuts…for two adults and two kids. And we ATE THEM ALL.
Over the last few weeks I have been enjoying my homemade iced mocha latte in the mornings, just after E leaves for work and the kiddos are watching their first movie of the day on Disney+. It brings so much joy to my day!
I thought it would be nice to share my WFH Iced Mocha Latte “recipe” on the blog. Hopefully it brings a little joy to you too!
