My Fave Five – June and July 2020

June was EXHAUSTING… I worked from home while simultaneously watching both kiddos BY MYSELF. STRESSED TO THE MAX. At the end of each day, the LAST thing I wanted to do was look at my computer. It is for this reason that I took a break from the blog and social media. After the kiddos went to sleep each night, I would hop on the Peloton (to work my sh*t out), shower, and then go to sleep. And then wake up and do it all over again the next morning. I am tired just thinking about it…

At the end of June, the kids started camp/daycare which was AMAZING! I could finally work in peace during the day. I thought I would finally get back into a groove with blogging as a result but, unfortunately, that did not happen. I think the stress, anxiety, and exhaustion of June finally caught up with me. So I took another month off from my laptop.

While June and July were VERY overwhelming, there were several bright spots. Without further ado, here are my five faves from June and July 2020!

ONE

My 35th Birthday

We celebrated with a few of my favorite things. A family photo shoot with Lauren, pretzel bombs from Get Stuffed, and take out from Bonefish (gimme all the Ahi Tuna Sashimi)!

TWO

Nora FINALLY Walks

Nora took her first REAL steps in July at 17-1/2 months old. It was very exciting. Now she is running all over the place, and we can hardly keep up!

THREE

Pool and Splash Pad Time

It has been VERY HOT AND HUMID here in New Jersey, so we have been spending our weekends cooling off in our big inflatable pool or running around on the splash pad. I bought the splash pad on Amazon for $20! The kiddos love it!

FOUR

Our New Pantry

We have been waiting OVER A YEAR for our new pantry to be installed. The previous owners had this computer area in the kitchen. It was entirely wasted on us. We were in desperate need of a pantry! Our contractor finally had time to install it, and it has been LIFE CHANGING. Also, who else is addicted to organizing and the Container Store? Just me?

FIVE

Patio Decisions

Since we aren’t going anywhere this summer, we decided to spend our “vacation money” on a new patio for our home. I spent the entire month of July looking at different pavers styles and colors and picking our favorites. I cannot wait to show you the patio when it is finished!
