Raising Breast Cancer Awareness with Saint Barnabas Medical Center and NJMOM

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and what better way is there to raise awareness than with food?! This October, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, a RWJBarnabas Health facility, has partnered with 10 local restaurants that have donated food to their essential workers and heath care heroes throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Saint Barnabas did this to thank them for all that they did, and to help raise awareness for breast cancer. See the full list of participating restaurants below.

Saint Barnabas Medical Center has given each of these restaurants pink reusable bags in which to put their takeout orders for customers. Let me tell you, the bags are adorable! Just last week, I ordered in lunch from my favorite local deli, Cioffi’s Deli & Pizza, in Springfield. I ordered some of their FAMOUS eggplant parmesan, pesto pasta, and some cookies (to share with the kiddos).

When I ran over to pick up my order, they had it all packed it up for me in one of the Saint Barnabas bags! It is such a cute reusable tote, and I loved the checklist on it. The checklist is as follows: 1. Order Dinner, 2. Get Your Mammogram at Barnabas Heath ACC, 3. Tell A Friend. This checklist serves as such a great reminder to get checked and to tell others to get checked! Don’t you worry, I have been reminding EVERYONE! Order in from one of these restaurants to get one of these bags to raise breast cancer awareness and to support your local small businesses.
