Last year, we started a new tradition of surprising the kiddos with little gift baskets for Valentine’s Day. They were a BIG HIT! Both of them still use the contents of their little baskets over a year later. Except for the band aids. Nathan ran through those in a week!
This year, instead of baskets, I made these DIY Personalized Valentine’s Day Gift Bags using pouches I found at Target, and stencils and fabric markers from Michael’s. I stuffed the pouches with ALL kinds of goodies! I leaned heavily on activities for the kiddos because we are spending A LOT more time indoors! Thank you winter and COVID…NOT.
I picked up most of the items at Dollar Tree or in the Bullseye’s Playground section at Target. So easy and affordable. Scroll down to check out all of the goodies! The socks were fifty cents each and are super cute. Nathan is obsessed with imagine ink coloring books, so I obviously had to include one in each pouch. A no-mess activity is always a YES in my book. Nora LOVES sunglasses so, when I saw the heart ones at Dollar Tree, I knew I had to include them. The heart sunnies came in a pack of 8, so I will be including them in Nathan’s little gift bags for his friends. These heart stickers came in pack of 12 sheets and were only $3. I threw two sheets in each of the kiddos’ pouches, and the extras will be going to friends. I picked up the kiddos’ heart tee shirts from The Children’s Place (ON SALE), and I ordered the Valentine’s Day books from Amazon (thank you Prime!).
I cannot wait to give them their Valentine’s Day goody bags! I might actually let them break into them this weekend. Why not celebrate Valentine’s Day for a whole week?!
