While it may not officially be summer yet (it officially starts on June 21st – just three days before my birthday), it is FINALLY warm enough to wear shorts here in New Jersey! HAPPY DANCE!
You know I love jeans, so it shouldn’t surprise you that I also love jean shorts, also known as jorts (or at least they are in my mind). I have been pregnant for the last two summers so I didn’t own a pair that fit properly. I picked up a new pair about a month ago, and they have become my new favorites. They are high waisted so they suck you in everywhere you need it. They are MOM SHORTS! The mom jeans version of shorts!
I have been wearing them with variety of sleeveless tops or tee shirts. Here I am wearing them with a new sleeveless top I picked up on the same shopping trip when I picked up the shorts. The pair together is so flattering!
To finish the look, I wore my new chunky sandals from FitFlop. I was influenced to buy a pair by Eva Chen. While they look a little funky, they are INSANELY comfortable! I could wear them ALL DAY LONG.
This outfit is the PERFECT summer look! I basically wore this entire outfit to the beach this past weekend. I can’t wait to wear it again soon!
Ooh, love your shorts. But somehow it is really hard to find shorts like that here. I can only find those shorts who are high waisted and they just cover your butt. But these look great! I am going to check (and maybe order them) immediately.
