Kiddo Closet Transformation with California Closets

When we first bought our home, four years ago (WOW, TIME JUST FLIES!), one of the first projects we tackled was renovating the primary bedroom closets with California Closets. See the transformation HERE. I loved what they did so much that we have worked with them on almost every single closet in our home (we only have the guest room closets left to re-do). When it came time to FINALLY renovate the kiddos’ closets, I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else.

I called Allison Pierce from California Closets, and she came right over to measure their closets and propose solutions. She proposed three different setups for each closet. One with just shelving and hanging racks, one with shelving, hanging racks, and baskets, and one with shelving, hanging racks, and drawers. I selected the second option: shelving, hanging racks, and baskets. The designs really helped maximize EVERY INCH of each of their closets! We decided to match the Adriatic Mist that we used in our closets. I love the grey so much!

Allison even helped us arrange to remove the existing closet systems ahead of time and prep and paint the closets white in anticipation of install. It was perfect!

The closet systems were installed in January, and we are so happy with how they turned out. They have added so much more storage space to each of the closets! And boy do they look pretty. Function and fashion. You CAN have both! The new closets were photographed shortly after installation. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fill up Nathan’s closet pre-shoot. But you can totally see how much more storage space he has now!

If you are thinking about re-doing your closet or your kids’ closet to maximize space and storage, I HIGHLY recommend working with California Closets. You will not be disappointed!
