My Fave Five – April 2021

So…it has been a WHILE since I last posted regularly on the blog. And it has been even longer since my last Fave Five post (in October 2020). Life just gets crazy sometimes! I am excited to get back into the swing of things with the blog, and I wanted to reintroduce the “My Fave Five” series. It is fun for me to recap each month here. I get to relive it while I write about it!

Here are my five faves from April 2021!

ONE

Master Bathroom and Kids Bathroom Construction ALMOST Complete

I had been DYING to renovate our master bathroom and the kids bathroom since we purchased our house (now almost 4 years ago). We had planned to start construction in 2020 and then the whole world stopped. When our contractor reached out at the end of 2020 and asked if we were interested in moving forward in February 2021, I JUMPED AT THE CHANCE! I started ordering EVERYTHING the very next day. Thankfully I did, because West Elm and Rejuvenation were experiencing severe shipping delays! I just love the way both bathrooms turned out. I cannot wait to put together a full blog post on each bathroom with before and after pictures. COMING SOON!!!

TWO

Sunday Mornings at Asbury Park Beach

I am a beach bum. Always have been, always will be. So when the weather warms up here in NJ, I NEED to put my feed in the sand. We have been to the beach twice this month, and the trips have been so good for my soul! And the kiddos had a great time too!

THREE

Reunited with My Parents and Uncle Cub Moves In

I am SO INCREDIBLY thankful for vaccines and the ability to see my parents for the first time in fourteen months. So many hugs! And I loved having one of my brothers live with us for a month. We miss him already!

FOUR

Holland Ridge Farms

I have always wanted to visit Holland in the spring to see the tulips. Unfortunately, that wasn’t really an option this year. Thankfully, there is a beautiful tulip farm right here in New Jersey. I bought tickets as soon as they were released. We all had so much fun running through the tulip fields, picking tulips as we went. We ended up coming home with over 20 tulips!

FIVE

Pesto Parm Stuffed Challah

I have been in a challah baking rut for the last month or so. I have been making challah almost every week since the pandemic started. I am always thinking of ways to change it up. For Uncle Cub’s last weekend in New Jersey, I decided to make a stuffed challah. Pesto + Parmesan = PERFECTION. E is still raving about the challah!
